Layering Necklaces 101
Posted on June 23 2019
Layering necklaces has been a trend throughout the years, and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon. We are actually loving it!
The best part about it is that you can already use items you already own, or invest in some unique pieces that you can take with you throughout the years. Today we are breaking down the steps to getting the right look without a lot of effort or thinking.
lets go!
1. Length
When layering necklaces, length is probably the most important factor. You don't want all the pieces to be close to each other or the same length (makes it just look messy). You are aiming for an effortless vibe. So start for a necklace that closer to the collar bone and work your way down.
2. Adding Weight
When you start layering necklaces, your aim is for that each necklace to lay flat and be statement individually and collectively. You can add weight by adding a pendant to one of your necklaces. That way the necklaces will lay flat and not roll into one another.

3. Mixed Materials.
When stacking necklaces you also have the chance of playing with materials. You can add a velvet choker for a more dramatic vibe, or add a pearl necklace to soften and create more dimension.

When putting you necklaces on, make sure you start with the shorter light necklaces first, and moving on the to the longer, heavier ones. Once you place them get a feeling of them and adjust them accordingly.
